The 11 plus is a test of preparation as much as ability, and preparation is easier to organise when weekends are actually available. 11 plus tutoring in Ilford runs across Saturdays, 10am to 6pm, and Sundays, 10am to 3pm, alongside after-school sessions in the week. Children are assessed free of charge first, so practice starts from what your child can already do — not from an assumed starting point.

Redbridge’s grammar route runs through two schools — Ilford County High School for boys and Woodford County High School for girls — with entry decided by a GL Assessment test sat in one sitting: English with verbal reasoning, then Maths with non-verbal reasoning. Registration for September 2027 entry opens on 1 May 2026, closes on 15 June, and the test itself falls on Friday 18 September 2026.

The centre is easy to reach by public transport and car. It is close to local bus routes and within easy access of Ilford Station, making it convenient for students travelling after school. Detailed directions are provided upon enrolment.
